-I am happy to announce that I have accepted a few new opportunities in photography and have ended my time at Wagner Portrait Group. I now work for a small portrait and wedding studio in Columbia, IL, Wagner Photography. I have also accepted a position as a part-time photographer for Southwest Illinois College. At these places I am gaining a wide variety of experience and continue to work for the Monroe County Clarion newspaper. Recently I have also had the amazing opportunity to attend the NCAA Wrestling Championships while assisting a sports photographer. With photo credits I was able to take pictures shoulder to shoulder with other professionals while standing up against the main wrestling ring. What athletes! -Since graduation and in the last few months I have been busy with a variety of jobs. I am working full-time for Wagner Portrait Group. Through Wagner I am gaining experience in school portraiture and sports photography, among other things. I am also working as a freelance photographer for the Monroe County Clarion newspaper. I have also been assisting in other areas of photography such as wedding and commercial. Click on the image below to see a sample of my work for the newspaper!

-In August I finished up my internship at the Missouri Botanical Garden. I found out that one of my images was chosen to be in the Garden's 2009 Calendar! Click on the flower to see a sample of my new work!

-In June I assisted one of my instructors from Webster University in shooting weddings for St. Louis Color. I really enjoyed the experience and feel like I learned a great deal. Here are some of my favorite images!

-The last gallery show of the year, "Something In My Eye," will only be up through August 1st in the May Gallery at Webster University. I have wall space featuring my own images of my choice. There is still time left to see my first gallery show!

-Two of my images were published in the Spring semester issue of Webster's student-produced magazine, The Ampersand, and another image can be found on the interactive DVD.
